Puffa from tire and string – how to make it?

An old tire can still be useful! If you are replacing the tires on your car, don’t get rid of it. See how easy it is to make a puff from a tire and some string to put around your house or garden.

What do you need?

To make a tire and string pouffe you need

• a tire,
• hot glue,
• jute twine (about 70 metres for a 13-inch tire),
• two circles to fill the center of the tire, such as from plywood or furniture board,
• screwdriver and a few screws,
• clear spray paint,
• wheels (optional).

The jute cord should be quite thick to make putting it on easier.

How to make a pouffe from a tire and string?

The first step is to fix the cut circles from furniture board alob plywood. You will do this with screws. If you want to attach the wheels, this is also a good time.

Now it’s time to attach the string. Start from the center, no matter which side. Wrap the string in a snail shape and glue it with hot glue. Finally, it’s a good idea to apply a clear spray paint.

One option is also to create a seat to make it soft and tactile.
