Wondering what drink will quench your thirst in the summer? Lemonade is a great solution, and it’s very easy to prepare and the ingredients are cheap and readily available. Read the article to find out how to make it!

Fresh fruit is an ideal base for homemade lemonade, even more so if you have a garden. The season for strawberries and watermelons is in full swing this summer, so you should take the opportunity to prepare a refreshing drink. A few ice cubes and a slice of lemon or orange and you’re done! In addition, the lemonade you prepare will be free of artificial sweeteners. Just health!

Classic lemonade

For this drink you only need water, a glass of freshly squeezed citrus juice and half a glass of honey.

Prepare a sweet base by mixing half a glass of warm water with honey. Combine the ingredients together and let it cool. Pour cold water into a pitcher, add lemon or orange juice and cooled syrup. You can enrich the mixture by adding mint leaves and a few ice cubes.

Variation with thyme

The next proposal will be a combination of orange and lemon flavors with a hint of thyme. To create the drink you will need:

  • a glass of lemon juice,
  • a glass of orange juice,
  • a few slices of orange,
  • water,
  • a sprig of thyme.

Combine the ingredients together and add a few ice cubes for extra refreshment. The lemonade will take on a special flavor if the thyme is allowed to sit in it for a while.

Raspberry-flavored lemonade

Ingredients:

  • a cup of raspberries,
  • half a cup of sugar or honey,
  • water,
  • a glass of fresh lemon juice.

Wash raspberries and put them into a tall dish. Crush them with a fork and pour over water mixed with honey and lemon juice. You can add mint or thyme leaves to taste. Set aside for several minutes for the lemonade to acquire a raspberry flavor.

Hibiscus lemonade

To prepare this recipe you will need:

  • 4 cups of previously brewed hibiscus tea,
  • half a glass of honey,
  • sugar,
  • a glass of lemon or orange juice,
  • water.

Mix the ingredients together. It is very important that the tea is cooled beforehand. You can add a few ice cubes or a mint leaf, according to your taste.

Watermelon lemonade

To create this drink you will need:

  • 0.5 kg of watermelon,
  • 1 l of sparkling water,
  • lemon balm,
  • fresh lemon juice,
  • a tablespoon of honey,
  • a few ice cubes.

Remove seeds from watermelon, cut into pieces, add squeezed lemon juice, honey, lemon balm and water. Blend everything to a smooth consistency. Serve chilled.

Peach flavored lemonade

Ingredients you need:

  • a cup of lemon juice,
  • half a cup of peach juice,
  • 2 whole peaches,
  • a few basil leaves,
  • half a glass of honey,
  • sparkling water.

Peel peaches and cut into pieces, add water, honey, peach and lemon juice. Mix everything and at the end add basil leaves.

Pineapple lemonade

Ingredients needed to prepare pineapple lemonade:

  • pineapple,
  • water,
  • lemon,
  • a tablespoon of honey,
  • fresh ginger,
  • pinch of salt.

Peel the pineapple and cut into pieces. Grate a piece of fresh ginger and add to the bowl with the pineapple. Add a tablespoon of honey, salt and lemon and mix. Finally, squeeze through a strainer and put in the fridge for 20 minutes. Once the drink is chilled, add mint or thyme leaves.

Strawberry lemonade

Ingredients:

  • water,
  • 0,5 kg of fresh strawberries,
  • half a glass of lemon juice,
  • ⅓ cup of honey,
  • fresh mint.

Wash the strawberries, separate from the stalks and blitz. Dissolve honey in a small amount of boiling water. Combine ingredients with cold water and add mint leaves. Serve with ice cubes.

Lemonade with honey

To prepare it you need:

  • half a glass of honey,
  • half a cup of sugar,
  • water,
  • pepper,
  • a glass of lemon juice.

Dissolve sugar and honey in a small amount of boiling water, add to it lemon juice and pepper. Stir the whole thing into the water.
